Player Payment Terms

1. Introduction
These Payment Terms govern all financial transactions you make as a player through the GolfThru18 platform ("Platform"), operated by Techtribe Software Solutions. By completing a payment on the Platform, you agree to these terms.
These terms should be read alongside our general Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.
2. Role of GolfThru18
2.1 Platform Facilitator
GolfThru18 acts as a technology platform and payment intermediary. When you pay to enter a tournament or event, your transaction is with the tournament organiser or host ("Host") directly. GolfThru18 does not organise, manage, or control any event listed on the platform.
2.2 No Liability for Events
GolfThru18 is not responsible for the quality, delivery, safety, or any other aspect of any event listed on the platform. The Host bears full responsibility for organising and delivering the event.
3. Payment Structure
3.1 What Your Payment Covers
When you make a payment through the Platform, your total charge consists of the Event Entry Fee (collected on the Host's behalf and passed through to them) and the GolfThru18 Application Fee (a non-refundable service fee charged by GolfThru18 for facilitating the transaction).
3.2 Payment Methods
We support the following payment methods in Uganda and East Africa: MTN Mobile Money (MoMo), Airtel Money, and debit/credit cards (where available).
3.3 Currency
Payments are processed in the currency shown at checkout (typically Ugandan Shillings, UGX, for domestic transactions). You are responsible for any charges imposed by your bank or mobile money provider.
4. Refunds and Cancellations
4.1 Event Entry Fee
The Event Entry Fee is collected on behalf of the Host. Refund eligibility for this amount is entirely at the Host's discretion. If you wish to request a refund, you must contact the Host directly.
4.2 GolfThru18 Application Fee
The GolfThru18 Application Fee is non-refundable under all circumstances, including where the Host grants a refund, you choose not to attend, or the event is cancelled or rescheduled.
4.3 Event Cancellation
If a Host cancels an event, contact the Host directly to arrange a refund of your Entry Fee. GolfThru18 will make reasonable efforts to facilitate communication but accepts no liability for a Host's failure to issue a refund.
4.4 Disputes
Any disputes regarding Entry Fees, event quality, or event delivery are strictly between you and the Host. GolfThru18 is not a party to such disputes.
5. Your Obligations
By making a payment, you confirm that:
- You are authorised to use the payment method provided
- All payment information you provide is accurate and complete
- You understand that the Entry Fee goes to the Host, not to GolfThru18
- You understand that refund requests for Entry Fees must go to the Host
- You understand that the GolfThru18 Application Fee is non-refundable
- You have reviewed the event details before completing payment
6. Chargebacks
If you initiate a chargeback or mobile money reversal in relation to a payment made through the Platform, GolfThru18 reserves the right to suspend your account pending resolution. We ask that you contact the Host and/or GolfThru18 before initiating a reversal, as this may result in additional costs.
7. Limitation of Liability
GolfThru18's total liability in connection with any payment transaction shall not exceed the value of the GolfThru18 Application Fee paid for that transaction. We are not liable for losses arising from Host cancellations, event quality issues, or payment processor errors beyond our control.
8. Data and Privacy
Payment data is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable data protection law. We do not store full card or mobile money account details. All sensitive payment data is handled by our third-party payment processor.
9. Governing Law
These Payment Terms are governed by the laws of Uganda. Disputes arising from these terms shall be subject to the jurisdiction of Ugandan courts.
